Herstory

Herstory is an intersectional feminist curatorial platform created to connect with artists from various disciplines who identify as women and propose to situate themselves as historical subjects.

Through different chapters organized with interviews, videos, sound recordings, and archives, Herstory creates a web of meanings around feminism and its subjectivities.

It is a space to criticize mainstream feminist movements for their western, white, and colonial imprint, which has rendered afro, indigenous, Latinx, and trans women invisible.

Herstory put forward re-readings of history, modernity, colonialism, and patriarchy through an intersectional approach.

Intersectionality allows us to work and rethink the concepts of memory and history. It is a fundamental element that makes it possible to question hegemonic history.
